I've learned more in this pageant journey than I ever expected.
Sukuta: A Place Where No Child Should Ever Be Told to Learn , But That's Where We Begin
Q: What inspired you to enter your very first pageant?
When people talk about changing the world, it can sound overwhelming, almost impossible. But something I've learned, both through my own experiences and through The Rise Project, is that real, lasting change often starts much smaller than we think. It starts with community. It starts with the simple act of caring.
When I think about how The Rise Project began, it feels less like a single decision and more like a journey that had been unfolding for years. Looking back, so many small experiences, lessons, and moments of inspiration quietly built the foundation for what would eventually become this project.
When we talk about change, we often look backward at the struggles, the history, and the barriers that have shaped where we are now. But The Rise Project is also about looking forward. It's about daring to imagine a future that doesn't exist yet and believing we can build it.
